About Press Pause Project
Founded by two moms in 2018, Press Pause Project’s mission is to educate women on how to take control of their lives by using CBD for anxiety and pain.
The company is committed to guiding women via its high-quality customer service and well-rounded blog, and it also gives back by donating to women’s groups and charities.
So, the company’s dedication to women’s health and CBD is not in question. But what about the products?
Press Pause Project features just four CBD products on its site: oil drops, capsules, a balm, and tea. With its quality ingredients and smooth minty flavor, their tincture earned a place on our list of the best CBD oil drops for 2019.
The other products are made with the same high-quality CBD extract. But while they are certainly luxurious, the prices can be high. For example, the balm contains a wonderful mix of essential oils and organic ingredients. But with only 50 mg of hemp extract at a $50 price tag, it may not be easily accessible to “busy moms” like the founders.
Additionally, there is no option to change the size, strength, or flavor of any product. The company is young, but we’d like to see this in the future.
On a positive note, the quality of the products is very high, so if you have the money, you won’t be disappointed.
Press Pause Project’s CBD extract is sourced from non-GMO Colorado-grown hemp cultivated on a USDA-certified organic farm. A C02 extraction method is used to extract CBD and other cannabinoids from hemp.
The shopping experience on Press Pause Project’s website couldn’t be simpler. It’s easy to select and learn about products, and bulk discounts are advertised front and center. The site is also easy on the eyes in terms of its look and readability.
Finding more detailed information proved a bit trickier. Locating lab results is a bit of a task as they aren’t labeled clearly, and some product information is lacking. Also, the site is pretty slow on mobile. However, we do like the easy access to testimonials and external resources placed right on the homepage.
This is where Press Pause Project shines. They are really dedicated to educating and supporting women, so they make sure to be available. They are reachable via phone, email, and Facebook. You can expect to get an immediate response in most cases.
The customer service staff are some of the kindest we’ve talked with. They are prepared for the most basic and most complex questions about their products, which made us feel comfortable and confident. All of our questions were answered in detail, and we were very happy with the way we were treated.
Press Pause Project offers free shipping on all of its products, though returns are restricted. Unopened products can be returned within 15 days for a full refund, while opened ones can be returned for 50% of the price. Bulk purchases of 4 or more products are not eligible for returns. In case of a return, the customer must pay return shipping.
We had no need to return any of the products we ordered. Everything arrived on time and in good condition. The packaging was ideal for safe shipping.
Our biggest qualms with Press Pause Project are with its transparency.
In order to earn our highest scores for transparency, we look for publicly available lab results for every batch of product. Press Pause Project does not make lab reports available on the site for any finished products — only for the general hemp extract and terpenes used. Of the two lab profiles available, one is over a year old.
To be fair, our independent testing revealed the company’s CBD oil to be among the most accurately labeled in the industry. This is great, and we’d love to see it displayed for all to see.
Our Verdict
Press Pause Project has an impressive initial offering of high-quality CBD products. We the CBD tincture oil drops, tea, and balm are indulgences any woman would love. Overall, we expect great things from this empowered CBD company.
