Yesterday, President Trump signed the 2018 Farm Bill into law. This was a huge victory for the hemp and CBD industries, because the law contains provisions explicitly removing industrial hemp from the controlled substances list and legalizing hemp agriculture nationwide.

Douglas Horn says that he purchased a purportedly THC-free hemp oil product from the company, according to Transport Topics. He was careful to only purchase products that contained no THC because he was subject to random drug testing as a condition of his job.
He purchased the CBD oil in September of 2012, and in October, he was fired.
In Austria, companies are giving away their inventories of CBD products after the Minister of Health ordered them to stop sales of CBD foods, beverages, and cosmetics.
CBD sold as hemp flower or as an “essential oil” is still permitted.
In Scottsbluff, Nebraska, a mother and son who opened a CBD shop were arrested the next day on charges of possession of a controlled substance, a Class I felony.
Notwithstanding the Farm Bill, Nebraska Attorney General Doug Peterson has stated that CBD is a controlled substance under state law.
Anheuser-Busch InBev will partner with Canadian cannabis producer Tilray to research cannabis-infused non-alcoholic beverages. This $100-million deal will study products intended for the Canadian market.
